Welcome to SecurityTechnique.Com, the online edition of Security Technique Magazine. Our site is designed to provide guidance, reviews, and code examples for system and software engineers engaged in building secure systems.
- Privacy Policy
-
Privacy is a concern for us here at SecurityTechnique.Com. Our services are currently under development and as of yet, we do not store identifying information for any site users.
Our servers do, however, store IP addresses, dates, and URLs of page accesses (along with browser information from web clients.) We use this information for debugging, statistical, and optimization purposes. Information from our web logs is not used to target advertising, nor is it shared with third parties.
There are two exceptions to this rule, however. To the extent that we are legally required to divulge information to law enforcement officers, we will share information with them. In general, this will only take place after we have received a court order compelling us to reveal this information.
The second case in which we share information from our web logs is when we believe we have been the subject of an attack. System crackers are not welcome here, and upon evidence of system tampering, we will forward relevant web server, router, and firewall logs to network administration with responsibility over the IP address that launched the attack.
- Acceptable Use Policy
-
SecurityTechnique.Com currently does not allow message posting or any other services which require editorial oversight. We therefore do not have a policy in force concerning acceptable use of such forums. However, we do anticipate adding these services in early 2004. At that time, an AUP will be posted and site users who wish to publish material on SecurityTechnique.Com, will need to agree to the terms of the policy before they are allowed to publish as participants.
- Write For Us
-
As a new periodical we are always looking for new authors. While you will find that our compensation is low with respect to other professional refereed periodicals, you'll find that do have some unique benefits. If your article is accepted for publication, you will have the choice of compensation: flat fee or percentage of the ad revenue.
- Advertise With Us
-
Security Technique is yet to officially launch. Until that time, we are using the Google AdWords ads. After we launch, we will be managing our own ad sales. If you would like to be notified of the Security Technique ad sales program when it launches, please drop us a line at sales @ securitytechnique.com
